Greenville Utilities considering fee increases

Posted: Updated:
GREENVILLE, N.C. - The Greenville Utilities Commission (GUC) is considering potential fee increases for wastewater treatment analysis, wastewater transportation and electric services.

The electric services fees would mainly affect those house builders and those looking to construct or renovate their houses.

The wastewater fees would affect companies that use dangerous chemicals, portable toilet companies and septic tank companies.

Many builders are upset with the possible fees while the GUC says these fees may be necessary due to rising costs.
