Suspect shoots 1 during Fayetteville robbery and carjacking

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -
One person was shot and a car was stolen Wednesday afternoon during the course of a robbery at a car wash in Fayetteville.
Police said an unknown black male entered the Carolina Clean car wash located at 1933 Pamalee Drive just before 6 p.m. and approached a customer. The suspect, armed with a handgun, demanded money from a customer of the car wash.
The customer was shot in the arm after starting to struggle with the suspect, police said.
The suspect then fled the car wash and approached a person sitting in a vehicle, police said.
The suspect demanded the person to exit the car while still being armed with a handgun. The car was found later but the suspect fled the scene. The person in the vehicle was unharmed.
The injured customer of the car wash was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center and is listed in stable condition, according to police.
