Fayetteville officials investigating 2 suspicious house fires

Fayetteville fire officials are investigating two early morning vacant home fires as suspicious.

The first fire broke out at a home at 517 Link St. around 1 a.m. Thursday. When fire crews arrived to the scene, heavy smoke was visible from the home.

The fire was contained to the back of the home. No one was injured.

The second fire broke out about two hours later around 3 a.m. at a home at 506 Link St. Firefighters were able to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to neighboring homes. No injuries were reported in the second fire.

Official are investigating both fires as suspicious.
