SANFORD, N.C. -

The funeral of a Sanford woman killed in fiery crash on U.S. Highway 1 last week will be held Tuesday, according to the victim's family.

Jasmine Wicker, 20, was headed north on the highway when she was hit head-on by an SUV driving in the wrong direction.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Works for Christ Christian Center on Fire Tower Road. Knotts Funeral Home is responsible for the arrangements.

"I don't know, like how could you drive on the wrong side of the road? I don't know if she felt it when it hit her. I just hope she didn't feel it," said Jasmine's brother Maurice Wicker. "I don't want her to feel the pain.

"She was loving, very special, nice, caring, had a big heart, loved everybody, my angel."

Wicker was a student at Central Carolina Community College and she worked at Trident Marketing in Southern Pines.

"She was a beautiful heart-filled young woman," commented Jasmine's grandmother Marcelene McLean. "She loved everybody. She just has a lot of love for everybody - a lot of love.

The other driver, Terrell Abbott, 36, was driving the SUV in the wrong direction. Highway Patrol said Abbott was from Austin, Texas, and Fort Bragg Public Affairs confirmed he was previously in the military but was not active duty.
