Armed robbery at Zaxby's in Greenville

GREENVILLE, N.C. - Police say the Zaxby's on Allen Road in Greenville was robbed Monday night.

It happened around 7:13 PM.

Police say a black male entered the restaurant with a bandana covering his face. He was armed with a knife and demanded money during the incident.

Customers and employees were inside the restaurant at the time, but no one was hurt.

An employee was able to get outside and call 911.

The suspect then fled the scene. It's unknown at this time whether the suspect got away with any money.

Officers are now canvassing the area.
