Triangle security firm protecting clients in Sochi

Posted: Updated:
APEX, N.C. -

A Triangle company is providing security for people who fear they may be at risk during the Olympic games in Sochi.

TigerSwan, based in Apex, has an operations center where they are monitoring clients around the globe, including in Russia.

The company has a team on the ground to swoop in and help within minutes should trouble strike.

Each protectee is equipped with a panic button of sorts to signal for help. TigerSwan is then able to pinpoint their exact location.

"TigerSwan's biggest concern for our clients is they are in the wrong place at the wrong time," says James Reese, CEO of TigerSwan.

The company says they believe the Olympic site is safe--but outside the security zone, its another story.

"The average fan or family member, starts to fall down the security level," says Reese.

He adds, "With the location, where Sochi is, near Dagestan, they have their own internal conflicts going on. It's a critical area of the world right now."
