Local business closings and meeting cancellations

JOHNSON CITY, TN (WJHL) - Numerous businesses and groups were forced to reschedule or close due to inclement weather. Here are the most current closings and cancellations.


-  Greene County Health Department will open at 10 am Friday

- Washington County/Johnson City Health Department will be closed Friday.

- Carter County Health Department will also be closed Friday.

- Green Springs Vounteer Fire Department's Valentine's Bingo on Friday has been cancelled.

- Frontier Health outpatient offices in TN & VA are closed Thursday

 Johnson City Public Library is closed Thursday 

- NCI Building in Elizabethton will have first shift come in at 8 a.m. Thursday.

- Mountain State Medical Group and  OB GYN closed Thursday. 

- Johnson City OB GYN and Associates closed will be closed Thursday. 

- Washington County Medical will be closed Thursday.

- Tusculum Dental Care in Greeneville will be closed Thursday.

- Surgical Group of Johnson City, in both the Johnson City and Erwin locations, will be closed Thursday.

- PRC Industries Inc. in Spruce Pine, NC, will be closed Thursday and will reopen on Friday.

- Mountain Home Veterans Affairs Healthcare System has closed all community-based outpatient clinics and Knoxville Outpatient Clinic Wednesday. The clinic closings include Virginia facilities in Bristol, Norton, Marion, Vansant and Jonesville. In Tennessee, closures are for VA facilities in Rogersville, Morristown, Sevierville and Knoxville. - Bankruptcy Court of Greeneville will open at 10:00 a.m. Friday

- Town and Country in Kingsport is going to be on a two hour delay Thursday.

- Tri-Cities Skin and Cancer Center will be closed Thursday.

- Elizabethton Public Library is closed Thursday. 

- Memorial Park Community Center, 510 Bert St., will be closed today (Thursday, Feb. 13) due to inclement weather. Tomorrow’s operational hours will be posted at www.johnsoncitytn.org/mpcc when they are determined. Citizens can also call 434-5750 for updates.

- Johnson City Transit services expected to reopen Thursday morning, weather permitting.

- Johnson City Juvenile Court will be closed Thursday.

- Unicoi County Courthouse will be closed Thursday. UC Sessions Court was also cancelled and was scheduled for Feb. 20.

- A career fair, scheduled for Thursday from 7:30-11 a.m. and 4:30-7 p.m., at Holston Valley Medical Center has been postponed. The new date of the career fair is TBD.

- H&R Block: Offices are scheduled to reopen Thursday at 8 a.m.

Cantech Industries in Johnson City: First shift is asked to report to the office Thursday at 10 a.m.

- Consumer Credit Union in Johnson City closed Thursday.

- Surgical Group of Johnson City, both Johnson City and Erwin locations closed Thursday.

- Carter County office will remain closed Thursday. Juvenile Court will be open Thursday. Offices are scheduled to reopen Friday.

- The Sullivan County Beverage Board meeting, scheduled for Wednesday has been rescheduled to March 12 at 6 p.m.

- The Washington County Health Department will be closed Thursday.

- Washington County, TN offices will remain closed Thursday. 

- The Wellmont Health Systems career fair for RNS and PCPs scheduled for Thursday has been cancelled.

- Jonesborough Municipal Court will be closed Thursday. Please call 753-1053 to reschedule.

- Johnson City/Washington County Liaison meeting, scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Thursday, has been cancelled.

- Johnson City Sister Cities International meeting, scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Thursday, has been cancelled.

- The Mall at Johnson City closed Thursday. Check with department stores for hours.
