Fayetteville Ferrari thief arrested

Fayetteville police said officers arrested a man responsible for stealing a 2004 Spider Ferrari from a home on Jan. 9.

Police said Daniel French, 24, faces numerous charges after being arrested for breaking into JB's High Country Lounge located at 2417 Hope Mills Road early Friday morning.

Officers located French after responding to an alarm at the business. Fayetteville detectives obtained warrants against French for a residential breaking and entering that occurred Jan. 9 on Dante Lane where police said French stole a yellow 2004 Spider Ferrari.

French has been charged with the following in connection with incidents on Jan. 9 and Feb. 21:

  • Three counts felonious breaking and entering
  • Two counts felonious larceny
  • Larceny of a motor vehicle
  • Possession of a stolen motor vehicle
  • Felonious destruction of a stolen motor vehicle
  • Felonious Possession of Stolen Property
  • Felonious Conspiracy

French was processed at the Cumberland County Detention Center, where he is still being held on a $48,000 secured bond.
