Greenville councilwoman sues TJ Maxx

Posted: Updated:
GREENVILLE, N.C. -
A Greenville city Councilwoman is suing a well known clothing store for injuries she sustained during a shopping visit.

In a complaint filed by Councilwoman Rose Glover she says she was injured by a folded table lying on the floor at the TJ Maxx on Evans Street in Greenville.

Glover says she told employees about the accident and says nothing was done to correct the problem. Glover is now suing TJ Maxx’s parent company, TJX Companies for damages exceeding $10,000. The complaint says she spent more than $18,900 on related medical expenses.

9 On Your Side called Glover and TJ Maxx for comment, neither returned our calls.
