JOHNSON CITY, TN -
They couldn't lock up a conference tournament home game on their own, but a tie will do it.
The ETSU men's basketball team is the Atlantic Sun Conference's fourth seed, and that means they'll play host one more time.
It's been a roller coaster couple weeks for the Bucs. They could have locked up the tournament third seed, but a loss at USC Upstate took that away. Then, it looked like they'd lose a home game entirely, but a tiebreaker gave them one final game at the Mini Dome.
With everything that's happened recently - playing five games in ten days, to the loss of senior Hunter Harris' dad, and then to the back and forth feelings of this past weekend - the Bucs are ready to leave all that in the regular season because now it's tournament time.
"You play the regular season. That's over and done with," said Head Coach Murry Bartow. "Now you're into a new season and into a new day, so certainly that's our thing."
Junior Guard Jalen Riley added, "Once it gets playoff time, you just kind of put the regular season behind you, and you move on. It's like a new season. We just want to have a couple good practices, prepare ourselves going in and just handle business come playoff time."
The Bucs host Lipscomb Tuesday night at 7:00. The two teams split their pair of games in the regular season, each winning as the away team.
