FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -

Narcotics agents busted a Fayetteville business Wednesday that was operating as a medical clinic without a physician present.

Cumberland County deputies and Fayetteville police officers raided the RF Medical Clinic, located at 705 Cumberland Street, around 12 p.m. Wednesday after receiving a tip that the business was issuing fraudulent prescriptions.

Officials say the business was dispensing prescriptions and operating without a physician present, or the authority to treat or dispense medications.

As a result of the raid, the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office has issued warrants for the arrest of 60-year-old Wright Gillies. Gillies will be charged with practicing medicine without a license, identity theft of a physician, and using the doctor's DEA registration number without the doctor's knowledge or authorization.

The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office said Gillies was treating and dispensing drugs without a physician license as far back as November 2013. At that time, Gillies was dispensing flu shots as well as treating young children.

Officials say more charges are expected.
