Truitt and Porter sentenced for 2013 nightclub shooting

Posted: Updated:
COLUMBUS, Ga. - Dequandrea Truitt and Shaquille Porter were sentenced Thursday to life with the possibility of parole.

Both were found guilty last week of two counts of murder, seven counts of aggravated assault and two of using firearms to commit felony.

On the murder charges, Judge William Rumor sentenced the pair to life with the possibility of parole. They will be considered for parole after 30 years.

On six of the assault charges, Truitt and Porter were sentenced to 20 years. The seventh charge came with 25 years because it also included the firearms charge. The sentences for these charges will be served simultaneously with the sentences for the murder charges.

Charles Foster, Jr. died and six others were injured after a shooting at the Majestic Sports Bar in January of 2013.
