No explosives found in suspicious package at Fayetteville's Goodyear plant

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -

The Goodyear Tire Plant in Fayetteville had to be evacuated Monday as the Cumberland County Sheriff's Bomb Squad removed a suspicious package from inside the facility.

The package, which was located behind a vending machine, contained a pipe and nothing else.

There were no explosives found and no injuries reported.

Employees have been allowed to return to work.
