Civil Rights Through Song: A Choral History of Raleigh Through the Civil Rights Era is a collaborative performance piece that will include choral music, dance and dramatic narrative.   Performances will be held from March 13 through March 23, 2014 at the historic Murphey School, located at 224 Polk Street, the renovated site of Raleigh’s first integrated school, which serves as Burning Coal’s performance venue. Performances March 13 - 15 and March 20 - 22 will start at 7:30 pm. The Sunday matinees on March 16 and March 23 will start at 2:00 pm.  The Sunday performance on March 16 will be a“pay what you can” event.  General tickets for other performances are $25.
