ZEBULON, N.C. -

A Zebulon man faces a felony larceny charge in connection to a string of new home break-ins in Wake County where thousands of dollars in appliances were stolen.

Thomas Winebarger, 36, of 1237 Spruce Drive, is charged with one felony count of possession of stolen property and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Zebulon Police Lieutenant Scott Finch says the case remains under investigation and more charges could be pending.

Police say two homes under construction were broken into during the months of November and December 2013.  Those homes were located on Vineyard Ridge Drive and Cattail Pond Drive in Zebulon.

Police say Winebarger's finger prints were found inside those homes.

Approximately $4,000 worth of refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers and microwaves were reported stolen.

According to a search warrant, officers confiscated glass crack pipes, a glass bong and prescription pills from Winebarger's home.
