ECU student indicted on murder charges

Posted: Updated:
WILMINGTON, N.C. - An East Carolina University student is under house arrest after a grand jury indicted him on second degree murder charges in the death of a Camp Lejeune marine, according to the Wilmington Star News.

A New Hanover grand jury indicted 19-year-old Jackson Davies saying he ran down and killed 22-year-old Cory Reese with his car after being kicked out of a frat party.

The district attorney says Davies first hit Reese knocking him onto the hood.  With Reese hanging on to the car, authorities say Davies crashed it into a tree while going 50-miles an hour.
