Fayetteville woman charged with shooting her husband

Police have charged a Fayetteville woman with shooting herhusband in his hand and shoulder Monday.

Police say Nichole Leon, 34, is charged with assault with adeadly weapon inflicting serious injury and assault in the presence of a minor.

Police say Leon's husband non-life threatening injuries tohis left hand and left shoulder during what appeared to have been adomestic-related incident at their home in the 5500 block of Hedrick Drive.

Leon's husband was transported to Cape Fear Valley Hospitalwhere he is in stable condition.

The couple's child, who was inside the home at the time ofthe shooting, was unharmed.
