AUBURN, Ala. - Two men are facing assault charges after a 23-year-old was shot in Auburn.

19-year-old Marcus Woody and 20-year-old Najee Brooks, both of Auburn, were arrested Monday on felony warrants and were taken to jail.

The shooting happened Monday evening at a home in the 600 block of Byrd Street. Authorities say Woody and Brooks fled from the scene in a car which police were able to locate at a home near Foster Street and Holmes Avenue.

Police say the 23-year-old man was shot once, was taken to the hospital and then later released. Authorities haven't released where he was shot or the victim's name.
