Kemp returns to see Pirates in postseason

Posted: Updated:
GREENVILLE, N.C. - Former East Carolina star Maurice Kemp was back in town on Tuesday night.

Unfortunately, Kemp's appearance didn't help his former team. East Carolina fell to Wright State in the opening round of the CollegeInsider.com basketball tournament 73-59.

Kemp spent this past season playing overseas. He's currently back in the states as he recovers from a late season injury.

Kemp led East Carolina to the 2013 CIT title. He had two different dunks that made ESPN's top plays during the Pirate's title run.
