Balloon release scheduled for missing Hope Mills teen

Posted: Updated:
HOPE MILLS, N.C. - Camping World of Fayetteville will host a balloon release and community gathering for a Hope Mills teen who has been missing for nearly two weeks.

Danielle Locklear has been missing since March 11. Her family said it's been tough not knowing and that it's not like the 15-year-old to run off.

On March 29, Camping World of Fayetteville will host a balloon release and community gathering to bring public awareness to Locklear's disappearance.

The event will take place at 6 p.m. at 5117 U.S. Hwy 301 South in Hope Mills.

Hundreds of volunteers combed the area near South View High School in Hope Mills Saturday morning hoping to find something to lead them to the teen's whereabouts.

If you have any information that could help find Danielle, contact police 910-425-4103 or 704-672-6100.
