GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Atlantic Coast Conference announced its men’s basketball tournament is returning to Greensboro and Charlotte after its two-year stint in New York.

The tournament will be played in Charlotte in 2019 at Time Warner Cable Arena. This will be the first time the tournament has been held in the Queen City since 2008.

“I’m thrilled that the ACC Tournament will return to Time Warner Cable Arena in 2019,” said Bobcats Sports & Entertainment Chairman Michael Jordan. “Having played in the ACC Tournament, I know how important it is to basketball fans throughout the Carolinas. It is the premier conference tournament in the country, and we are excited to welcome the ACC back to Charlotte.”

Charlotte has hosted the ACC Tournament a total of 12 times, according to the conference.

The Greensboro Coliseum will host the tournament for the 27th time in 2020, the conference announced Thursday.

“Hosting the ACC men’s basketball for two of the next six years will allow us to continue the storied history that exists between the conference and the City of Greensboro,” said Coliseum managing director Matt Brown.

The Barclays Center in Brooklyn will be home of the ACC Tournament in both 2017 and 2018, the conference announced Wednesday.
