Second suspect arrested in Henderson gas station murder

HENDERSON, N.C. - Law enforcement arrested the second suspect in a fatal shooting Monday night at a BP gas station in Henderson.

Authorities said members of the Henderson Police Department and the SBI arrested Marvin Hargrove Jr., 25, of Henderson, and charged him with one count first-degree murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon and one count of second degree kidnapping in connection with the murder of 55-year-old Ahmed Shahit.

Police said Hargrove surrendered himself to Henderson police and he was place in the Vance County Jail. Hargrove has a scheduled court date on March 31.


Daiquan Jameek Waddell, 18, was arrested Wednesday in connection with the murder.
