More Tampa Bay Sweetbay stores to become Winn Dixie

12 Tampa Bay Sweetbay Supermarkets are included in a list of 18 additional Central Florida stores that will be converted to Winn Dixie stores.

Winn-Dixie’s parent company, Bi-Lo Holdings announced Friday that is plans to convert 18 more Sweetbay stores to Winn-Dixie stores starting in April.

This is the third recent announcement by Bi-Lo Holdings to rebrand some Sweetbay stores in the Tampa Bay area to Winn-Dixie. Bi-Lo has previously said some Sweetbay stores in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Manatee and Sarasota counties will be converted.

In Friday’s announcement, Bi-Lo, the parent company of BI-LO and Winn-Dixie grocery stores, said it will close 18 Sweetbay stores throughout much of West Central Florida, Orlando, Daytona and Gainesville on April 12.

The following Sweetbay stores will close on Saturday, April 12 and will reopen Friday, April 18 as Winn-Dixie stores.
