PEMBROKE, N.C. -

An exhibit featuring murals of the Lumbee tribe is being unveiled at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.

The Fayetteville Observer reported (http://bit.ly/1ojf8Hl) the mural will be unveiled Wednesday at the Pembroke Undergraduate Research and Creativity Center.

The three murals are titled "Lumbee Tribe Historical Murals Exemplifying the Past, Present & Future." Eventually, they'll be moved for permanent display at the Lumbee Tribe Boys and Girls Club in Pembroke.

The mural project took five months to complete. It's a collaboration of UNCP art students, the UNCP art department, the Lumbee Tribe and members of the Lumbee Tribe Boys and Girls Club.
