Raleigh police unveil new patrol vehicles

RALEIGH, N.C. -

The Raleigh Police Department rolled out new patrol vehicles today.

The department bought 67 vehicles, mostly Ford Interceptors and Chevy Caprices.

They're vehicles are replacing the Crown Vic, which Ford stopped making in 2011.

RPD has 900 cars, SUVs and trucks. More than 500 are patrol vehicles.
