Durham Bulls debut $20 million renovation

Posted: Updated:
DURHAM, N.C. -

The Durham Bulls aren't just celebrating opening day, the team also debuted $20 million renovation.

Fans can expect everything from 10,000 new seats and a club level behind home plate, to state of the art high-definition screens and sound system.

There are also new concessions throughout the park and even the grass is brand new -- ready for the first pitch.

"We're excited for everyone to come out and see it," said Durham Bulls Media Relations Coordinator Matt Sutor. "We open with an eight game home stand, so now through next Thursday fans can come out every night and see us.

"There are a lot of opportunities to see the Bulls this year and especially this opening week, you don't want to miss the new changes."

If you're worried about what the renovations may cost you, Sutor ensured that ticket prices have stayed the same.

The Bulls take on the Gwinnett Braves tonight and are hoping for a sellout crowd, with fireworks set to follow the game.
