Rantankerous [ran-tank'uhr-us] (adjective) - A combination of rant [to speak in a wild or extravagant manner] and cantankerous [contentious, disagreeable]. The word is the only suitable description for the arguments between Brian "What We Learned" Tynes and George "Hot Reads" Jones.

(RNN) - Both the UConn men and women's basketball teams made statements with their wins in the NCAA Tournaments, but was that a good thing?

Shabazz Napier took advantage of his spotlight on the national stage to call out the NCAA, and Geno Auriemma's team left no doubt who rules women's college basketball.

We debate if Napier's comments hurt the cause of student-athletes and if the Lady Huskies are hurting competitive balance in the game.

Northwestern's football players were granted the ability to unionize - for now. Even if that decision doesn't survive an appeals process that is sure to drag on for some time, it's almost certain college sports is bound to change drastically.
