Pirates Shut Out #25 N.C. State, 7-0

GREENVILLE, N.C. - East Carolina won the team's 10th game in their last 12 outings, shutting out 25th ranked North Carolina State 7-0 at Clark-LeClair Stadium Wednesday night.

Drew Reynolds hit a two-run triple as a part of a three-run seventh inning to break open a close game. Brett Mabry, Ryan Williams and Drew Reynolds combined on the shutout. Mabry pitched six innings and gave up just five hits. Williams threw two frames, giving up a hit. Reynolds pitched the final inning and gave up one hit.

Zach Houchins and Ian Townsend also had two hits each in the win.

The Pirates improve to 20-13 on the season. East Carolina visits Old Dominion in a three game series beginning Friday in Norfolk, VA.
