6 arrested in heroin trafficking operation

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. - Rocky Mount police have arrested six people accused of trafficking heroin and other dangerous drugs.

They tell 9 On Your Side the six month investigation busted up a major distribution in the Rocky Mount and Wilson areas.
Rocky Mount Police Chief James Moore said, “Stopping harmful drugs like heroin means we’re helping keep our neighborhoods safe and preventing criminals from exploiting Rocky Mount.”

Officers recovered 1,875 bags of heroin with a street value of more than $37,000, $4,230 in cash and seized 11 grams of the drug MDMA commonly referred to as “Molly” and 95 grams of high grade marijuana.   

They’ve charged 37-year-old Rajahn Kallief Brown, 29-year-old Khaliqah Ore-Brown, 49-year-old Darren Ward,  27-year-old Rahameem Langford, 59-year-old Anthony Gerald Wiggins, and 41-year-old Michael Crowley in connection with the investigation.
