Man arrested, accused of holding woman against her will

JOHNSON CITY, TN (WJHL) - A Johnson City man was arrested after police said he held a woman against her will and assaulted her.
Johnson City Police officers arrested Jesse Sparks, 32, after responding to a domestic assault call.

When officers arrived at the home, they could hear the victim screaming from the bedroom window.

According to police, Sparks took off when he saw the officers.

The victim told investigators Sparks broke her phone, choked her several times, and bit her. She also said he held her against her will in the bedroom.

Sparks was eventually arrested and charged with Aggravated Domestic Assault, Felony Vandalism, Evading Arrest, False Imprisonment, and Interference with Emergency Calls.

Sparks was taken to the Washington County Detention Center on a $38,000 bond. He's scheduled to be in court on Monday at 1:30 p.m.
