Onslow County students get the chance to talk to astronauts

Posted: Updated:
JACKSONVILLE, N.C. - Some lucky students in Onslow County got the opportunity to talk with astronauts onboard the International Space Station Monday afternoon.

STEM class students at Dixon Elementary School had about 10 minutes to ask questions about what it’s like in space. The ISS was overhead at the time.

Amateur radio club members volunteered their time and equipment to help make today’s teleconference possible.
