TAMPA, FL (WFLA) - The man suspected in the arson that occurred Saturday at the Animal Coalition of Tampa Bay has been arrested on battery charges.

Terrod Arrington, 33, was booked into the Hillsborough County Jail late Monday night after officers received a tip of his location. He is charged with battery with bond set at $500.

So far, he has not been charged in relation to the arson case from the weekend at the Animal Coalition of Tampa Bay.

Tampa Fire Rescue crews responded to the animal shelter just before 5 a.m. Saturday morning and quickly extinguished the fire. Three cats were killed as a result of the fire. One dog was found alive and had escaped the blaze.
