2 charged in Cary laundromat murder

CARY, N.C. -

A 40-year-old man was arrested in South Carolina for the March 29 murder of a man at a laundromat in Cary.

Authorities arrested Rumaldo Ramirez Velasquez, of Merriwood Drive in Cary, for the murder of Eriberto Crecencio Bosques.

An arrest warrant has also been issued for Ruben Gilberto Hernandez, 23, of Holly Hill Court in Cary, for his involvement in the incident.

“We’re very proud of our detectives and the members of the intergovernmental team who’ve worked tirelessly to help bring some level of closure to Mr. Bosques’ family and friends,” said Capt. Don Hamilton of Cary police.

A cleaning person discovered the body of Bosques around 9 a.m. March 29 inside Wash Tub Laundromat, located at 101 E. Reed Street.

Police said Bosques was lying face down on the floor when the cleaning person discovered him.

Anyone near the area during the time of the murder is encouraged to contact the Town of Cary Police Department at (919) 469-4012 or file a report anonymously with Cary Crime Stoppers at (919) 460-4636. Crime Stoppers pays up to $2,500 for the arrest or indictment of those responsible for committing certain types of crimes. All calls will be kept confidential at the caller's request.
