DURHAM, N.C. -

Durham police said a woman was sexually assaulted in a residence on Rochelle Street Thursday morning.

An unknown male suspect walked into the residence around 9 a.m. and sexually assaulted the female, police said.

Durham police said it appears the suspect and the victim did not know each other.

The suspect is described as a black male, possibly in his early 20s and about 5 feet 7 inches tall with a small build. He was wearing light-colored blue jeans, a black sweatshirt and a black ball cap.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Investigator A. Gill at (919) 560-4440, ext. 29324 or CrimeStoppers at (919) 683-1200.
