Vehicles hit buildings in separate incidents in Moore County

Posted: Updated:
VASS, N.C. - Moore County authorities are investigating two separate weekend incidents where vehicles ran into buildings.  Injuries in both cases were not believed to be serious.

About 2 a.m. a car ran through a yard, hit a car in a driveway and ran into a home on Loblolly Drive in Woodlake Country Club, according to emergency responders. They say bricks were knocked into a bedroom where a person was sleeping, but that person and the driver of the car were not hurt. Responders say two juveniles males in the car were taken to Moore Regional Hospital for treatment.

Saturday in downtown Vass, a pickup truck backed over a sidewalk and through a store window at Edwards Hardware store. The driver of the truck, Max Edwards, and a woman inside the store were taken to Moore Regional Hospital for treatment of what were described as non life threatening injuries.
