PHENIX CITY, Ala. - A boy was injured in a crash involving a Phenix City school bus Wednesday morning.

The student was getting on a school bus at 16th Avenue and Sanford Road when a silver Honda SUV hit the bus, Phenix City Police Department says. The boy, whose name has not been released, suffered minor injuries including scrapes. Police were not immediately sure if the SUV may have also hit the boy. He was taken to Midtown Medical Center for evaluation.

There were other students on the bus at the time of the crash but police say no one else was transported to the hospital.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
