Yvette Vajcner is a busy mom of three little ones. But a year ago she weighed 259 pounds. She said she was miserable, so the Michigan mom decided to sign up for a free app as a way to help with her weight loss.
She stepped on the scale for a health assessment at work, and that weekend, Yvette said she decided to make a lifestyle change.
The first thing to go was pre-packaged foods. She increased produce and lean meat. She also took the time to research what her body mass index and caloric intake should be. No more fast food and she started eating breakfast. She walked on the treadmill at least five days a week. She also relied on the free app, called Myfitnesspal. It shows your calories for the day, the food you've taken in, and also extra food you can take in because of exercise that you've done.
Her first week she lost 9 pounds. Every week after that was three to five more pounds of weight loss. Now she's 100 pounds less than this time last year.
