Police look for 'Bearded Bandit' in Durham Subway robbery

DURHAM, N.C. -

Durham police are looking for the suspect who robbed a Subway restaurant on NC Highway 55 on May 1.

Police said the man entered the business around 9:30 p.m. on May 1 and was armed with a gun. The suspect climbed over the counter and demanded cell phones from the employees. The suspect then stole money from the tip jar.

The suspect was last seen walking away from the restaurant. The suspect is described as black male, 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches tall with some facial hair. He is possibly in his 20s.

The suspect was wearing a large Afro wig, a blue shirt with short sleeves, gray jeans and black shoes.
