Girlfriend arrested after deadly Columbus stabbing

The girlfriend of a man who died overnight following a deadly stabbing has been arrested, the Muscogee County Coroner tells WRBL News 3.

Anthony Tirrell Murray, 30, succumbed to his injuries at Midtown Medical Center after the stabbing late Sunday night on Rice Street in Columbus, Coroner Buddy Bryan says. Murray sustained multiple bite marks and a single stab wound to the chest.

Priscilla Harris, 36, has been charged with murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime, according to the Muscogee County Sheriff's Office Web site.

The investigation continues. Anyone with information is asked to call Columbus police homicide investigators at 706-653-3400.

This is Columbus' tenth homicide of the year.
