Greenville veteran remembers D-Day

GREENVILLE, N.C. - 93-year-old Richard Gaylord, who's lived in Greenville his entire life, was 24 at the time of D-Day.
     
He served with the army's 113th Field Artillery Battalion and was part of the 2nd wave of troops in Normandy.

Gaylord spent 4 years in the Army. He left as a lieutenant.
     
He turns 94 later in June.
