New Bern Police: 4 men offer a man a ride then rob him

NEW BERN, N.C. - The New Bern Police Department is investigating an armed robbery. 

Police say the robbery happened on Saturday at 3:30 a.m. near Neuse Boulevard and Queen Anne Street.  

Police say a man was walking to McDonald's on Neuse Boulevard to get something to eat, when four men in a white SUV pulled up.  Police say the victim and suspects engaged in a conversation, when the suspects offered the man a ride. During the ride, police say one of the suspects pulled  out a gun, pointed it at the victim, and demanded money.

The victim was able to get out  of the car unharmed.

The suspects took off in the SUV with an undisclosed amount of money. 

No one was injured during the incident.
