DURHAM, N.C. - A 7-year-old boy is dead after a pool accident Saturday at the Brightleaf Club in Durham, authorities said.

Police said, Jamarcus Graham, of Goldsboro, was found floating face down in the pool at 2003 Copper Leaf Parkway. He was pulled from the pool and CPR was administered by medical personnel who were visiting the pool.

Signs around the pool indicated there were no lifeguards on duty at the time. Police said Jamarcus was at the pool with a guardian and was attending a pool party when the accident happened.

The child died Sunday morning while at Duke Medical Center.  The incident is under an investigation
