RALEIGH, N.C. - A Goldsboro woman will represent North Carolina this September at the Miss America pageant in Atlantic City.

Beth Stovall, who entered as Miss Greater Sampson County, was crowned Miss North Carolina on Saturday following competition in Raleigh.
     
She is a student at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, where she is studying for a bachelor's degree in music.
     
Stovall was born and raised in Goldsboro and was Miss Goldsboro 2013.
