Two men face charges after fight involving a knife and metal pipe

MOREHEAD CITY, N.C. -

Two men face charges after a stabbing at a Morehead City trailer park.

Police say it happened around 8 p.m.  Tuesday at the Willis Trailer Park.

Police say 58-year-old Jimmie Greer and 51-year-old Daniel Costello were arguing over a dog which went into Greer’s yard and led to a physical fight involving a knife and a metal pipe.

Greer was hit in the ad with the pipe and Costello was stabbed in the abdomen.

Greer was transported to Carteret County Jail and placed on a $75,000 secured bond. He’s charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injuries.

Costello’s charges are pending. We’re working not to get an update on his condition.
