Storm Brings Strong Winds, Heavy Rainfall To Worthington

Posted: Updated:
WORTHINGTON, Ohio -

Storms rolled through Franklin County Monday night, blowing over trees and branches.

The hardest-hit area was Old Worthington. The rain was rushing, and the wind was wild, it was loud and unforgiving.

"I just thought the world was coming to an end, the windows were going to break is what I thought, I've never seen it rain so hard and come down so hard" said Worthington resident Barbara McFarland.

The strong winds brought down power lines, leaving thousands in the dark.

"We noticed that the water was starting to come down very heavily and that was followed by some very, very strong winds that really just made a tremendous noise that I think blocked out the noise of these trees falling over," said Adriana Dawes.
