Greenville restaurants taking precautions after home invasions

Posted: Updated:
GREENVILLE, N.C. -

The Greenville Police Department is urging people to be on-alert after a string of home invasions targeting owners of Asian restaurants.

Police chief Hassan Aden says the suspects haven't targeted Greenville, but he says the department's taken steps to ensure restaurant owners are safe.

"Pay attention when you get into your car," Chief Aden said. "If you think you might be followed or you just have a sense, call the police."

Chief Aden says the department's secretly followed potential targets home to ensure no one is following them.
