'Large scale' meth lab busted in Cumberland Co.

STEDMAN, N.C. -

Deputies are searching for a man wanted in connection with manufacturing and selling meth in Stedman, N.C.

The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office said 32-year-old Joseph Allen Timpe is wanted on charges of manufacturing meth, possession of precursor chemicals and maintaining a dwelling to sell and deliver meth.

The sheriff's office said deputies, as well as members of the State Bureau of Investigation and North Carolina Probation and Parole Office busted a methamphetamine lab Wednesday in the 8000 block of Clinton Road in Stedman.

Law enforcement discovered a lab on the property capable of producing large amounts of meth.

The sheriff's office said Timpe lives on the property.

Timpe also faces additional charges pending the outcome of SBI lab tests taken from samples collected at the crime scene.
