Lee County Sheriff's Office: Phenix City man violently attacked child

PHENIX CITY, Ala. -

A Phenix city man is facing child abuse charges stemming from a domestic incident on July 17th. The Lee County Sheriff's Office arrested 22 year old Zachary Ryan Tadlock of Phenix City for Torture and Willful Abuse of a Child and Domestic Violence Assault in the 3rd degree.

On July 17th, 2014, the Lee County Sheriff's Office received a call from teh mother of a 2 year old child who was reporting that her boyfriend. Tadlock, had beaten her child. Deputies and medical personnel responded to the 600 block of Lee Road 307 in Phenix City. They located a male child suffering from multiple knots, bruises, and reddish marks all over his face, chest, legs, and other regions of his body. None of theses injuries have been determined to be life threatening but the child is being monitored by medical professionals. The Lee County Department of Human Resources was notified and is actively assisting in the criminal investigation. The Lee County Sheriff's Office discovered evidence through their investigation that led to arrest warrants being issued for Tadlock. The cause of this violent attack is still under investigation.
