MYRTLE CREEK, OR (WFLA) -

The caretaker of an adventurous 3-year-old boy is in a heap of trouble after police say the toddler crashed a Jeep into a house and then ran home to watch cartoons.

It happened in Myrtle Creek, Oregon, according to a KPTV report.

Police first saw the boy alone in the Jeep at about 7 p.m. Tuesday night. The boy told them his parents weren't home.

Police contacted a relative who was sleeping inside the boy's home and let her know the boy had been outside in the Jeep.

Then, about a half hour later, police responded to a report about a Jeep crashing into a house.

Investigators say the boy had gotten into the Jeep again and knocked it out of gear, according to the KPTV report.

Witnesses said the Jeep rolled down the street, then rolled through an intersection and a yard before it crashed into a house.

The boy, who was only clad in a diaper, ran home. When police arrived at his home, he was on the couch watching cartoons as if nothing had ever happened, reported KPTV. http://www.kptv.com/story/26109158/police-3-year-old-diapered-driver-crashes-jeep-runs-home-to-watch-cartoons

The relative who was caring for the boy was cited for failing to supervise a child, according to KPTV.

No one was hurt.
