AUBURN, Ala. -

An Auburn man has been arrested and charged with stealing $12,000 worth of jewelry from a home he visited in early July, Auburn police announced Thursday.

On Wednesday, Auburn police arrested Casey Williams, 26, on a felony warrant charge of first degree theft after he allegedly stole jewelry from a home on Turn Lake Drive. Williams was apparently invited to the home and is accused of taking the items from the home before selling them. Police were able to locate the items at a local business where Williams allegedly sold the jewelry.

Williams was transported to the Lee County Detention Facility, where his bond was set at $5,000.
